Fishing Club

News

The Central Catholic Fishing Club recently took part in the Kevin Michael Hays Memorial Fishing Tournament.  This took place on April 19 at the Point Pavilion in North Park. The club had a decent showing of members who participated in the event.  A few other Central Catholic students were there volunteering for the event.  Two members of the fishing club did receive awards; Matt Oczypok received one for a 10 inch bass, and Jonathan Coholich received one for the largest fish which was a 13 inch trout.  The event went very smooth and we thank all those who participated in the event and those who made it possible

About us:

This club is comprised of individuals who share the same love of fishing.  We travel to various lakes, rivers, and streams in Allegheny County where we fish for many different species of fish including trout, bass, carp, etc.  The club’s members various levels of experience from members who tournament fish to members who are brand new to the sport.  The club strives to create better fishermen and conservation minded individuals out of its members.  Members also attend major events in the area such as the FLW Forest Wood Cup.  The club will take part in many conservation projects around the county. By providing a service to the community we can help ensure a bright future.
