Dewey Decimal System
The Dewey System divides all knowledge into ten groups. Thus, books dealing with the same subject are shelved together. Each book has its call number on the spine, consisting usually of a number and three capital letters. Some books are divided into other categories, such as Reference (R), Fiction (F), Story Collection (SC), and Oversize books (OS). Look at the examples below:
